Darren, Do you know whether Sun's "current" 125014-03 revision of the IP Filter patch works with 8/07 (u4) as it does with 6/06 (u2) and 11/06 (u3)?
Or is the -04 revision required for the TCP & IP changes in 8/07, hence replacing the s10 IP Filter shipped by Sun with your IP Filter version 4.1.24/25 the only 8/07 option at the moment? My reading of recent emails leans toward the latter, but I'm a bit confused on this point. Rgds, Stuart. p.s. We currently have Solaris 9 systems with your IPF 4.1.x, Solaris 10 systems mostly still have the Sun-shipped version. Not immediately concerned with filtering inter-zone traffic via pfhooks etc, although that will be of interest at a later stage (even just with global filtering pfhooks looks like quite an improvement on the requirement for pfil once everything settles down). -- Stuart Remphrey RMIT ITS Infrastructure Services - Unix Systems >>> On 10-Sep-07 at 6:53 pm, in message <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, Darren Reed <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > a b wrote: >> Hello Darren >> >> please post the IPF patch number once it is available, so that we may >> use Solaris 10 u4. >> With IPF not fully functional in u4, it is a serious showstopper to >> using Solaris 10 8/07. > > Please see my other posts to the IPFilter list over the weekend for more > details on this. > > Darren
