PC: PC compatible notebook, Freebsd 6.2 on Athlon
Workstation: Sun ultra5, freebsd 6.2 on sparc 360
i have a problem on the sun.
I installed freebsd 6.2 on the sun, and ipf don't
work.
i reinstalled freebsd (i'm not an expert, and i want
to restart from scratch) and still don't work.
The problem.
if i "shut down" ipf, i can ping and going dns.
if i ping a ip address on internet, like 212.*.*.*, it
works.
in the log i see that ipfilter blocks the return
packets from the dns.
it's strange, i use the same configuration on the
pc...
i also put an accept clause on ipf.rules that accept
the return packets, but don't works.
same problem on log.
i also tried to copy the ipf.rules, rc.conf from the
pc to the sparc.
it don't work.
what's the problem?
