hi all,

I'm using ipf 3.4.32.

My system comes to be slow and it eventually goes down.

I guess, lost of packets is made problem.

So, I wonder is it problem to be used giga-bit LAN with ipf? Or ipf
v3.4.32?

It can be solution to upgrade ipf version?

If so, what version should I upgrade?

And also, I've got a trouble in using IP-filter version 3.4.32 for
solaris.

I can give you the information what I did and what message is shown.

I did as follows.

# modunload -i <pid of ipf>

Could you let me know what the situation is?

Do I have to upgrade IP-filter version?

If so, what version do I need? I need stable one.

If not, how to patch them?

I know pfil module should be installed after IP-filter version 4.

Could you explain me why?

And one more thing, after pfil is installed, is it necessary to reboot
system?
