Does that mean the IPF's kernel and userland parts can be different versions and everything works?
One of the reasons for not accepting IPF pullup requests was that the user running e.g. netbsd-5 code can update only his kernel or userland but not both and having a non-working IPF after the upgrade is not acceptable.
