We control internet access from our network by setting all browser
proxies to a microsoft ISA server used as a caching proxy so that all
browsing traffic can be virus checked etc. Machines are not allowed to
connect directly to the internet and traffic is blocked by the firewall.

We have an internal solaris server running running various webapps on
port 80.

We need this server to be able to connect to the internet via the proxy
server to pick up updates etc but the applications are not proxy
configurable.

Is it possible to redirect all http traffic from applications running on
the solaris server for external internet sites to the ISA server proxy?

The solaris application server runs web applications so I must still
allow http/80 packets received from non-local addresses to be handled
normally.

Reading the manuals / FAQ I would anticipate something like

        rdr hme0 127.0.0.1/32 port 80 > proxy-address port 80 tcp

I don't want to start playing without some advice as this is a live
server

Thanks
