Well, let’s think about this for a minute. Obviously Apple knows that Android 
has a block button and Apple could easily have one, so why might they have 
decided not to?

I would guess that easily blocking numbers leads to more problems with 
accidental blocks or else way too annoying “are you sure?” dialogs.
