on my iPhone, the smiley face spins with shadow and bounces up and down very nicely; I can start and stop no problem, but I can't multiply as on a regular browser.

Any other suggestions would be welcomed too... Guess the simple way
would be to make an animated GIF and just use that, but it wouldn't be
random.
