This might have been covered before, but I did a search and could not quite find the answer.
The iPhone Safari browser uses the numeric keypad for web form fields that have "phone" in the name. It appears that it is impossible to enter anything but 0-9, #, @, + and ",". No possibility of doing ( or ) or -. That seems mighty inconvenient. Perhaps we are supposed to have separate fields for area code, prefix and suffix... That makes it difficult to have international phone numbers, and seems to me to be onerous. It is nice to let people put in things like 1-800- CALL-ATT or things like that... So, is my only option to trick the iPhone into using a different keyboard by not actually using the "phone" string in the name? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group.
