I have a web site with a search engine for identifying birds http://identify.whatbird.com/mwg/_/0/attrs.aspx
I need a simple iPhone accessible page that implements a simple text search. Like our web client you can type the birds name and the menu list of names is whittled down as you type. I have put together a few pages of my idea for the iPhone web app you can view here: http://www.whatbird.com/images/iphone_collection.jpg So the iPhone visitor would see a scrolling list of 891 bird names and a search box at the top of the page. In the second image I have typed “amer” and the list has narrowed to jus the names that have “amer” in them. On the iPhone all it would do when you tapped on the birds name is open a simple species page for that bird containing an illustration and a text description. We have a web service that will return the names and specific URLs to all the species pages. Does anyone know how difficult a job this is? Super hard? Moderately difficult? Simple?
