I'm working on a mobile optimized version of a web app that, among other things, requires the user to sign-in. I got a beta version working pretty quickly with custom CSS and a sprinkling of jQuery on the front-end (MySQL / PHP on the back).
Then I saw iUI and some of the awesome examples, such as Digg. I've spent some time trying to rewrite my app atop iUI, but I'm finding the... paradigm... to be quite unusual. So I have two questions: 1. Does anyone know of a good iUI walkthrough that covers designing a login (complete with prevalidation and Ajax submit -- which iUI does, I know)? I'm really struggling on just this simple thing, and it would be super helpful to see a working example, source code and all. 2. Does building a mobile-optimized web app atop iUI make it generally unsuitable for other mobile devices, such as cell phones running Opera or Pocket IE? The iPhone is my main concern, but it would be nice if my app at least works on those other devices, even if it doesn't look the same. (I've noticed the iUI's display in Firefox is sort of... weird.)
