Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some advice on how to map accented characters to their
standard counterparts. As an example, I have a large database of
words and may have special characters. The problem is that when these
words are put into an alphabetical list the iPhone places them out of
sequence because it recognizes letters like ē ĕ ẽ ẹ as different from
a regular "e".

Do you know of a simple way to correct this by mapping special
characters to standard characters? The solution needs to be simple so
we don't increase processing time.

Thanks for all your help,
Regards,
McCarthyink
