Rob and Andy - Thanks for the feedback!

First off, I would say checking in Firefox wouldn't be very helpful,
as this is solely meant for current WebKit browsers.
That being said, I think taking out the hard-coded pixel widths is a
great idea. I was just doing some testing with the Android and Storm
and it definitely does need to be more flexible. I don't understand
your second comment, though, as jQuery is used extensively throughout
the code. It could certainly be removed from jQuery, as there is no
doubt unnecessary cruft there (and I'm currently discussing an XUI
port), but there's also a lot of benefit to having jQuery behind it.
Aside from the standard "slide left, slide right" effect, jQuery
provides a lot of power and simplicity in terms of Ajax requests and
effects. jQTouch started from a mobile web app I'm developing with
jQuery, and it has been immensely useful in lots of different ways.
Also, jQuery is only 19kb minified and gzipped.

If you haven't yet, please sign up for announcements at http://www.jqtouch.com
-- I'll be releasing a new version this weekend with lots of
improvements.

Thanks,

Dave
