I wrote another message a few weeks ago about having problems with the CSS transitions on the iPhone having a very strange glitch. After careful observation I believe I can describe exactly what is happening, but I have no idea why or how to fix it.
When transitioning from one page to another by having page A have its - webkit-translate: translateX(-320px) and having page B have its - webkit-translate: translateX(0px) what happens is for a very very brief period (almost too quick to see) page B appears in the viewport and then disappears before the transition starts. It is almost as if mobile safari forgot that it was supposed to do a transition for the property change on -webkit-translate but then remembered after the property was changed and then started over this time doing the transition. It is a very very strange bug and I really hope someone can explain to me what is going on. The worst part of all of this is that in the desktop version of Safari 4 everything works perfectly, only the iPhone has this glitch. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "iPhoneWebDev" group.
