FYI: Don't think from David Mark's bad review that he thinks Sencha Touch is worse than other popular libraries. If you google around, you'll find that he despises all popular javascript libraries (jQuery, Prototype, Dojo, YUI, ExtJS, MooTools, etc).
Many of us on this list are content using and/or contributing to iUI -- I'll be the first to admit (and I'm sure Sean would admit, too) that its code is not as mature as jQuery or the other popular general-purpose JS frameworks. If David Mark thinks those frameworks are horrible, I shudder to think of what he would say about iUI. -- Peter Rust -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of RobG Sent: Thursday, July 15, 2010 10:54 PM To: iPhoneWebDev Subject: Re: JQTouch / Sencha Touch On Jun 18, 2:24 am, Jamund Ferguson <[email protected]> wrote: > Hey Devs, > > Just wonder if I could get a real breakdown of what we should expect > coming out of Sencha Touch? > > Is JQTouch dead? > > Is Sencha Touch, JQTouch without the JQuery? > > I've had problems with the slowness of JQTouch on my 1st gen iPhone > and am looking forward to see what Sencha produces with this merger of > sorts.
