You missed this then:

Yeah, I saw that one a while back. I didn't know it was the same guy
(but suspected) Many of his points are valid, but most of them are
purely cosmetic and of no consequence for actual users of the script.
Kind of like reviewing the wardrobe of a rock band -- important to some,
but not important to many who buy the album.
(and mostly inaccurate)
Please post one inaccurate statement of any substance that he made
about iUI.
On July 27, 2009, he wrote:
"IUI is only for that one device and uses every wrong-
headed technique in the book, including cramming all content into one
document. It doesn't use the built-in animations and all of the CSS
is based on *attributes* (as opposed to classes.) IIRC, it uses UA
sniffing as well and has been abandoned by its author for years."

Let's look at this point-by-point:
* is only for one device
That might have been true in 2007, but by July 2009 iUI supported much
more than just iPhone.
* uses every wrong-headed technique in the book
I'm sure there's one or two wrong-headed techniques we hadn't yet
figured out how to get into the code ;)
* doesn't use the built-in animations
I'm assuming he's referring to CSS Transitions and CSS Animations.
There was an alpha release (0.30-alpha1) on June 18 that used CSS
Transitions when supported by the browser. A beta release (0.30-beta1)
was made about 4 hours before he posted this statement. The final
release 0.30 was made on August 6 which was the same as the 0.30-beta1
release with the version strings changed.
* all the CSS is based on *attributes* (as opposed to classes)
The CSS uses a few attributes, but most uses positional CSS and classes.
* IIRC, it uses UA sniffing as well
Not true.
* has been abandoned by its author for years
Yes, Joe left the project in 2007, but there had been a string of
releases starting in March 2009, so implying that iUI is "abandoned" was
clearly inaccurate.
I think it's fair to call that paragraph "mostly inaccurate"
