Out of couriosity and since the Intel BMC I was working with during this time supported these cipher suites. It was also a good way to dig into the details of IPMI 2.0. > Does original version support HMAC_MD5? No. Again, the mandatory cipher suites are stronger from a cryptographic point of view and you need support in the BMC as well to use these.
