There is one errata item for IPSECKEY WG:

This errata correctly identifies that the algorithm fields is
8-bit field, not 7-bit field as shown in the figure. The
section 5 IANA considerations of IPsec Keying Material in DNS
RFC4025 already explain that:
This document creates an IANA registry for the algorithm type
field. Values 0, 1, and 2 are defined in Section 2.4. Algorithm
numbers 3 through 255 can be assigned by IETF Consensus (see RFC
2434 [5]).
I.e., explains that the algorithm field is indeed 8-bit field.
This errata should be marked as verified.
