Hi Bert, The jumbogram length is specified in a hop by hop option along with the length of 0 in the IPv6 datagram. RH0 is not required in any way for jumbograms to work.
Thanks Suresh (ccing [EMAIL PROTECTED] that is the mailing list for ipv6 maintenance) -----Original Message----- From: Manfredi, Albert E [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Mon 3/12/2007 4:17 PM To: IETF IPv6 Mailing List Subject: Question on IPv6 jumbograms Perhaps this was covered in the RH0 deprecation discussions and I missed it. How will jumbograms be coded in the IPv6 header if RH0 is rejected, at some point? Since both a length of 0 bytes and RH0 are expected in the IPv6 header, to indicate jumbogram (RFC 2675).
