Hi,
I'm looking for a charge-free virtual root server for the DeepSpace6
project.
Reason: the original project founders in Italia left the university and
have no time to maintain the server.
A virtual root server is needed because the XML driven CMS is too
special to put it on a shared server.
Additional requirements:
- (native) IPv6 connectivity
- Linux distribution: perhaps CentOS4 or similiar for long-term update
capability (additional packages would be created by me). I'm not
familiar with Debian...
System usage:
- Serve DS6 webpages (Apache)
- Serve DS6 CVS by CVS and HTTP
- Serve DS6 FTP
- Mailserver for @deepspace6.net (forwarding and Mailman)
- SSH access for maintenance
I would be able to maintain the system for the future (because I already
maintain some systems in the company I work for, on customer side and
for private use).
Traffic: currently don't know, had to look through the logs, should be
not more than 2 GB per month.
I think there is no need for a dedicated server, because there are no
requirements to CPU power for the offered services.
