Ich hab in den nächsten Tagen multicast connectivity und würde gerne
ein paar fragen loswerden.
Ist euere Darwin streaming server ipv6 enabled ? sprich hat jemand
mal diese patches versucht ?

Ich habe einige programmierer gefragt aber keiner scheint fähig diesen
ganzen perl6 libs und die
patches auf einem leopard server zu kompilieren oder zum laufen zu
bringen. Fortschritte gibts nur bei solaris.
Wie ich in erfahrung gebracht habe funktioniert "rtsp " streaming
nicht über ipv6 bei videolan weil die live555.com librarys nicht ipv6
fähig sind.
Und Darwin arbeitet nicht hinter einem NAT ,
also ist " ipv6 " mit darwin der einzige weg live /vod " rtsp
"streaming auf leopard zu realisieren.

Well, forturnatly there is a community to take care of it..
I've managed to get it to compile and the test I've done during the
day has worked fine (and solved some problems I had. This is still
preliminary, need to check a few more things before submitting it
through the normal procedure but for all of you that are impatient
please find the patch attached. I've run it on CentOS 5.1 i386.
I was happy to see this release from Apple, as many of us have
considered it to become abandonware and asking ourselves how to
bring it forward with the energy there is in the community. I
encourage Apple to work more closely with the community, that would
benefit us all.

I've tried compiling DSS 6.0.3 with the following distros, and none
of them worked:
CentOS 5.1 i386
CentOS 5.1 x86_64
Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy i386
Ubuntu 8.04 Hardy x86_64
This is apparently a Mac-only release, with Apple leaving it up to
the community to fix compatibility with all other operating systems.
Sigh.
