I wrote a patch last summer to add RFC3442 support ([diff

if you're interested) but then I was taken ill and was off work for months, so
- whilst it did in fact _work_ - I never got around to tidying it up and
submitting a PR for it.
I wish you luck with your PR, and feel free to nick anything you want from my
patch if it helps at all! :)
