Tim, Back then it was known as "The Missouri School of Mines and Metallurgy", but changed it's name around that time to "The University of Missouri at Rolla". Considerable consternation amongst the student body of the time, denying town deserved recognition considering it's attitude toward the students -- who were, of course, perfect little angels. As you can imagine from what was a nearly all boys school. Located in Rolla, MO, obviously, it was and still is an engineering and sciences oriented school/university, but now with a more diverse offering of other curricula. My particular major was in Electrical Engineering. There, more than anyone wanted to ever know.
