I made the mistake of going out in the backyard (swamp) and raising the EWE antenna when I got home from work at 2:15 am. Just checked the list and found the A index a 42. No TPs at all. The wind was very strong in the Portland-Vancouver area this evening. The winds peaked around 730 pm in Portland. At work the exhaust fan flaps were slamming up and down and the roof was leaking in places. Power was down for about 15 seconds and the wind was probably up to 45 mph out where terminal 5 is in Portland. The backyard has never been this wet in the four years that I have lived here. Not getting up at 1500 UT to DX this morning, good luck to those who do.
