KDON is what it was when I first heard it. (that's what I was thinking of in the back of my head- just couldn't get it out, hi.) Instead of KDON, I'm sure they wanted DONK after the famous Don K! I remember KION also- my excuse for not being sure is that my old log-books are in the attic. What the S.F.area needs is something like "Village 900", that is, if they don't already have it.
Mike, "colon cleanser infomercial" hahahahaa. A year ago, I was travelling west from Panaca/Pioche, NV and was listening to that "crap" pun intended, from KDWN and I was just shaking my head. I was shaking it because of the program and mostly because KDWN was broadcasting it. KDWN!! 50,000 watts of colon cleanser and the associated impact/compact?? hahahaha What a shame I thought. 73- Doug ----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Hawkins" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Mailing list for the International Radio Club of America" <irca@hard-core-dx.com> Sent: Thursday, January 04, 2007 12:29 PM Subject: Re: [IRCA] KABL/1460 Salinas CA is no more >I don't know if they're making a buck.
