Indeed. My local graveryarder, KRSN 1490 Los Alamos, has its transmitter and tower on National Laboratory property, which is owned by the U.S. Department of Energy. The Lab found room for it because it considered having a local radio station operating an asset to the local community built up around the Lab. I doubt that they bothered with the IBB, though. The location is supposed to be temporary, and the station has an STA for it from the FCC. -- Mesa Mike, N6KUY, WDX6O Los Alamos, New Mexico (DM65uv) "Los Alamos" is Spanish for "More than one Alamo" -- Dave Barry Online logbooks: http://gentoo.net/mm/dxlog?account=mikew DX audio clips: http://gentoo.net/mm/radio/mwdx/audio/dxclips _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
