CFFX-960 Kinston ON has applied to the CRTC to move to FM
(104.3 MHz, 4kW, 247.9 metres):

Application No. 2007-0004-8

Application by 591989 B.C. Ltd. to convert radio station CFFX Kingston
from the AM band to the FM band.

The new station would operate on frequency 104.3 MHz (channel 282B) with
an average effective radiated power of 4,000 watts (maximum effective
radiated power of 8,000 watts/antenna height of 247.9 metres).

The applicant would maintain CFFX’s current Oldies music format on the
proposed new FM undertaking.

The applicant is also requesting that the proposed FM undertaking be
  allowed to continue to operate under CFFX’s current condition of  
licence
allowing it to broadcast a minimum level of 30% Canadian content in any
broadcast week where at least 90% of musical selections from content
category 2 that it broadcasts are selections released before 1 January
1981, as set out in Public Notice CRTC 1998-132.

The applicant is requesting permission to simulcast the programming of
the new FM station on CFFX for a period of three months from the date
of implementation of the new FM station.

The applicant is also requesting, pursuant to sections 9(1)(e) and 24(1)
of the Broadcasting Act, the revocation of the licence of CFFX effective
at the end of the simulcast period.

CKLC-1380 Kingston ON has also applied to the CRTC to move to FM
(98.9 MHz, 8.7 kW, 132.2 metres):

Application by CHUM Ltd. to convert radio station CKLC Kingston
from the AM band to the FM band.

The new station would operate on frequency 98.9 MHz (channel 255B)  
with an
average effective radiated power of 8,700 watts (maximum effective  
radiated
power of 15,000 watts/antenna height of 132.3 metres).

The applicant proposes to operate an adult standard/middle of the  
road music format.

The applicant is also requesting that the proposed FM undertaking be  
allowed
to continue to operate under CKLC’s current condition of licence  
allowing it
to broadcast a minimum level of 30% Canadian content in any broadcast  
week
where at least 90% of musical selections from content category 2 that  
it broadcasts
are selections released before 1 January 1981, as set out in Public  
Notice CRTC 1998-132.

The applicant is requesting permission to simulcast the programming  
of the
new FM station on CKLC for a period of 3 months from the date of  
implementation
of the new station.
