Thanks Dave. I tried the old ones I had last night again and just they are still noisy. But with a portable, if I get 15 or 20 feet away the noise is gone. It is not as bad as I first thought. I did notice that the CFB weight is a lot more than a regular bulb. Two of them in a dual socket weighs the socket in the ceiling down a lot. But I have decided to stay with the old tried & true bulbs. Anyway I already have 50 saved. hi.
