Paul, Checked for // between WLES & WTRU-830 Winston-Salem. Negative. Then for // with WDRU-1030 Raleigh. Negative. Went to FCC AM Query. Yes, WLES is 201 W. But their signal is about 50 W effective. Too weak for 200 W. Noted that their ownership is Chesapeake-Portsmouth Broadcasting Corp. That's the same as WPMH-670 Claremont/Portsmouth. The thot plickens. IF CPBC operates WLES like they operate WPMH, then 50 W makes sense... if they can keep 50 W on the air! Not too much danger of WLES turning a profit.
