Well after getting back from a job, I decided to check the gutters and clean them out if needed. Not bad. After cutting down the last of that Shorepine tree last Spring, the gutters were not filled with the needles. Covered gutters get them too, but keep the leaves out, but we have more fir & pine here. OK, after that I checked out the termination on my SW EWE and it was off. Too bad it wasn't peaked this morning, but yet there was still a lot of DX. Anyway, going out to the tree I found the box with the control, pulled completely out from behind the metal grating I installed. Some animal got to it. I doubt it was a cow, maybe a calf or a some other smaller animal, but it was way off, I repeated it and set it back behind the grating, so hopefully it will stay there. For years I had it open and nothing bothered it, but as some of you may remember the cows like chewing on the plastic box. I can always move to a metal box for that one if needed.A DXers life in rural America. hi.
