When 740 in Toronto was still CBL with the single TX tower in Milton about 30
miles west of Downtown Toronto,their signal was the weakest of all the Metro
area AMers and was not strong enough to cover electrical noise,giving rise to
the move of the CBC to FM off the CN tower.Unless CHWO has Directionalised
their TX then their signal towards Toronto and further east would not be
feasable for listeners in that area.It could be that they have new hardware and
upgraded equipment for a better signal.At night the signal on 740 would easily
reach the Atlantic coast.--Bill in BC
