I can tell you that the CBC's As It Happens is carried on many NPR stations, and at varying times that do not coincide with when the CBC might be carrying it. I DX a lot of FM, and to say this presents a problem with meteor scatter is an understatement. If you hear the words "Canadian Broadcasting Corporation" on a meteor burst on some FM frequencies, it is more more likely to be an NPR station referencing the Canadian network as the program's source or producer, than it is to be a CBC station, which is more likely to say 'CBC'. Though nothing is ever guaranteed, and it's always listener beware.
As for an earlier complaint about using terms such as FF, jargon and shortened versions of common words and phrases are common in any hobby. I wonder if there is a web site somewhere that lists some of the terms -- maybe the hams have us DXers beat to that, and out of simple curiosity I will look later on when I have time. In lieu of such a list, I think it's perfectly okay to use these terms, and if someone on the list doesn't know a term, a polite query can yield a friendly, helpful response. That's partly what this list is for. FF means French, or Français if you prefer. There, my French-language education hasn't gone completely to waste. I wonder if the 'cedille' beneath the 'c' will be viewable. I pressed alt-135 for that.
