After nearly a month of not having the complete beverage back up, it is back up tonight. It took another 4 hours to get the other 1,000 feet of it up and going. I had to raise it on top of the hill so my neighbors can get the farm equipment through, but it looks pretty good. A bit higher the 600-700 part, but at 2 PM today KATQ 1070 Plentywood MT was S9 (5KW) and Pocatello on 1290 was S9+10 DB. So I am impressed. I still have more work to do on it including soldering a few splices and replacing some of the wire, but at least it is up again. I have never had it out of commission this long since I installed it in 1984. But between the damage of our huge storm and the bad weather about all of December, it was impossible to get it back up any sooner. Fortunately, I did not miss out on any Eastern DX Tests. I just got WCXH-780 shortly before the storm. Hopefully it will stay up until Summer when I can get everything done the way I want to. But what a pain. Altogether it look well over 8 hours to do the whole thing, about as much time as it took when I put it in 1984.
