A morning that started out well, but then fizzled out here.  At 1410 was 
hearing a number of strong carriers on the upper portion of the band.  
Most interesting was the fact 1566 had two, with one running about 30 Hz 
high.   1494 had a strong carrier too, not a frequency I've seen much 
from.  Things peaked around 1430 though, nearly 30 minutes prior to 
sunrise, then went rapidly downhill, with only very weak carriers 
audible by sunrise.  The only one that came through with definite audio 
was China on 1593.   All the action was on the upper end of the dial.  
Down lower, even the Japanese on 594/747/774 weren't doing much of anything.
