I just saw this link posted on the Sony 2010 discussion group a few minutes ago
http://staff.washington.edu/paymana/radio/sony.zip The file is a collection of papers written by Sony Engineers on various consumer receiver IC's. At least one of them looks a lot like the CXA1129N used in the SRF-59 etc. If it is, it has the complete pin diagram and internal block diagram. I've briefly perused a couple of the files and they look fascinating.
