Sorry about the tardy note on this morning's reception, it's been a long
day!
Anyhow, I'm back in Dunmore today, and seemed to leave the upper band DX
in Lamont. 1575 was just the weakest of carriers this morning, after 3
straight days of getting audio. 1566 was considerably better, but still
not good enough to produce audio. On the other hand, the lower band
powerhouses from Japan were stronger than I heard for the 3 days in
Lamont. This morning 747 and 774 were also the best here. Would be
interesting to know if it was just a change in conditions, or the change
in location that accounted for the difference.

Wasn't as lively this morning, at least for anyone starting at 1335UT as I did, The propagation monitor says that 594 peaked about an hour earlier, for example. However, 747 and 774 did peak a few times with pretty good signals, and 279 had its best audio in awhile. In general, only the powerhouses were heard; everything else was just carriers. I suspect Dennis was hearing a lot more than I was, even when listening at the same time.
1575 and 1566 hung in until after 1400UT, but everything else was pretty much
finished before the hour here.
Asian unless otherwise noted:
pretty darn good audio (at least briefly): 747, 774
reasonable audios (though often battling w/splash): 279, 828, 1566 (before shifting its pattern to China), 1575
not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise: 594, 1053 KK
jammer
Burbles in the splatter: 693, 972
Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1098 DU
best wishes,
Nick
