Hi Patrick,

I was at Grayland last night, and also heard hash on the 1610 kHz TIS
frequency. I thought it was just band noise, but usually 1610 is one of the
wide-open frequencies, with very low noise-- so your report makes sense.

On 1610 last night, while walking along the beach, I heard both the
Yakima, WA TIS and the Grays Harbor (WA) Coast Guard weather station, along
with
the noise. The Eastern Oregon weather station, occasionally audible at home
in Puyallup at night, was nowhere to be heard.

                    73, Gary
