Wow, these things are sensitive. Mine did get a faint image of my local on 1490 somewhere around 1300 in the daytime, and I did hear one or two warbles tuning around the band. After nightfall, the thing picks up as well as my DX-440.
I'm going to order another one now, to put aside for the future day when my first one quits or gets broken.
