Can't say it was an exciting morning. Started around 1430UT, and listened on
and off (mostly off) until 1800UT. Most interesting observations were
somewhat readable audio on 972 at 1714UT, and definitely readable Russian talk
on 1566 during several fade ups between 1740 and 1745UT, and one more quick
fade up just before 1800.

The Japanese powerhouses didn't really deliver until well after 1500, and
neither did 972 or 1566, which didn't peak until after 1550UT. For the most
part, signals didn't have any steady slow increase in strength, more just
briefly popping in for a visit.

pretty darn good audio (at least briefly):

774 JOUB at 1533UT
828 JOBB at 1525UT

(both were mostly pretty anemic before this.)

reasonable audio at times during the period (though often battling w/splash
or noise):

594 JOAK at 1504UT
747 JOIB at 1439 and 1536UT
873 JOGB at 1505UT; at this time, better than //774, not saying very much.
972 HLCA at 1552, big carrier as always

not so reasonable audio, occasional words in splash or noise:

693 JOAB //774 at 1526UT
954 likely JOKR at 1505UT

Burbles in the splatter and noise:

639 seemed like CNR1 //5030
1134 at 1543UT just mx.
1575 seemed like SE Asian talk by inflection, so Thailand
1593 seemed like CNR1 //5030

Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 738
seemed DU, 1008, 1242

best wishes,

Nick
