Colin, There was something a lot different from the late 70s to the mid 80s as far as DUs/Hawaiians go. I have no idea what hapened around 1985, but the strong cx from the Pacific started dying off. They have never returned either. Night after night after night of flea powered DUs all over the dial. Sometimes 2 or 3 on a channel. I sure would love to experience those conditions again.
