KGLN is eliminated as they are talk. At 0400 UTC I heard a station playing the song "How Great Thou Art" in a country-western twang which could be your unID. At the same time there was a full ID from XENR which mentions "Coahuila" a lot. Then there was a PSA from the "Instituto Federal Electoral". Shortly thereafter another SS station mentioned "Sonora". KFWB next faded up with news and a time check/ID combo. No XE sign offs were noted. I still need KMIN in Grants, NM for an all-time new one. At 0415 UTC a station with Basketball game mentioning Trail Blazers faded up briefly. Still monitoring...
No handle on the two XE 0800 sign-offs here unfortunately. Chris -----Original Message----- From: irca-boun...@hard-core-dx.com [mailto:irca-boun...@hard-core-dx.com]on Behalf Of John H. Unless one of the smaller California stations has flipped formats in the past weks and not yet changed the website, it looks more and more like one of the New Mexico stations or the west Texas or the western Colorado. I'm going to record one more night and see if I hear more. I'll update the clan tomorrow. I'm determined enough about this one to get on the phone, if I have to.... we've plenty of unused cell phone minutes. Does any one have handles on the two Mexicans that are signing off at 0800 on 980??? Stay tuned, as they say.
