Bill,
I'd bet on the Brownsville TX station. Frequent visitor here even with
XEPE on. Before the mexican came on 1700 Brownsville was usually atop
Sherman & Des Moines.

Tuning into the X band last night and trying for 1710 I drew a blank there but
one space back on 1700 I heard some 50's and 60's rock music coming in on a
shaky and fluctuating signal. Could not get an I D but did catch the ABC
network news at the 11pm TOH.The only listed station on 17 is one in Texas
putting out a mighty 880 watts at night down from 8800 daytime. The San Diego
Business station was not in at this time.Could it have been the Tex or was I
getting a recently started new station? Anyone out there with info? Thanks.Bill
