It's been a rather demanding day, so have only now gotten around to posting this. Although signals weren't that strong this morning, there were some interesting ones, including CNR-1 on 1359 which I believe is new at home, plus weak Chinese on 1476 which wasn't CNR2. Listened from 1330UT to just after 1400, by which time only 747 and 1377 remained with audio.
(and the busy day continued into the evening, so any TA's here went unlogged...) pretty darn good audio (all of it understandable by a native speaker, at least briefly): 774 JOUB.....that's it reasonable audio at times during the period (much of it understandable by a native speaker, though often battling w/splash or noise): 594 JOAK 747 JOIB at 1350UT 1287 JOHR likely at 1345UT 1377 CNR-1 //4460 at 1353, after being mostly just a strong carrier earlier 1566 HLAZ before 1345 pattern change mostly, but also at 1348UT, quite clear at times due to minimal QRM not so reasonable audio, occasional words or phrases in splash or noise could be understood by a native speaker 279 R. Rossii 567 JOIK //594 828 JOBB at 1358 873 JOGB //774 972 mostly big carrier, but to this level at 1355UT Burbles in the splatter and noise (if lucky, language might be guessed at by cadence of talk, or parallel established by changes in talk or music) : 189, 234 R. Rossii //279 603 possibly HLSA 657 off channel; mx possibly //3320, if so N. Korea 666 JOBK //594 at 1348UT 1134 likely JOQR w/ woman talking in splash; not //972 or 4460 1143 a SAH and possibly two audios here, one w/CC sounding talk, so possibly Taiwan 1242 likely JOLF at 1349UT 1359 talk //4460 at 1340, so CNR-1 1476 sounded like CC talk at 1338UT, but no network stations listed here, so will be hard to ID 1575 likely VoA Strongish het, no audio (either undermodulated or ravaged by splatter): 1053 SAH, 1098 DU, 1251, 1323, 1386 best wishes, Nick ***************************** Nick Hall-Patch Victoria, BC Canada _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
