kind of crazy using 910 as a music channel. anyone with old radios will still get the 910 whistle and would think that music will be the last thing you would want on that frequency. that's just me. why don't some of these AMs that have no formats left to try, go for Internet feed of something interesting or TV audio, or XM/Sirius channel? maybe that's what 910 is trying to do? anything would be better than more national networks that you can hear on ten spots on the dial.

Entercom puts an all-local band format on Portland, Oregon's 910, dropping "ESPN Deportes." The Vancouver, Washington-licensed 910 has led a restless life, format-wise - it's been sports, talk (in an LMA to Salem) oldies, country, and since May 2009, Spanish-language sports. Now Entercom puts the onetime KKSN calls back on KTRO and will try music. Not just any music, but a simulcast of the HD-2 channel of alternative KNRK (94.7) that specializes on Northwest musicians. They call it "94/7 Too." The 910 frequency made many songs into hits during its top 40 heyday, when it was known as KISN. You can sample the 94/7 Too online stream without waiting for the July 12 switchover from ESPN Deportes http://player.streamtheworld.com/_players/entercom/player/?id=KNRKHD&utm_sou rce=Subscribers&utm_campaign=bf90874840-TRI_06-10-2010&utm_medium=email _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com _______________________________________________ IRCA mailing list IRCA@hard-core-dx.com http://montreal.kotalampi.com/mailman/listinfo/irca Opinions expressed in messages on this mailing list are those of the original contributors and do not necessarily reflect the opinion of the IRCA, its editors, publishing staff, or officers For more information: http://www.ircaonline.org To Post a message: irca@hard-core-dx.com
