The old WTAK-1000 in Huntsville was a classic rock station back in the day. They went to that format in 1987, and at first, they were NOT simulcasting their FM sister, which is extremely rare for an AM station with a rock format to do. I think they've been WJDL (with varying formats) since about '94 or so.
