Radio Tupi 1280 is very reliable in Newfoundland, but I suppose not anywhere around Montreal! Some of the stations from Brazil's northeast might make it, like 740 and 880.

The only Brazilian I've heard in western New York is 1100, and that was when WTAM was off the air for an hour or so in the middle of the night.

I always get excited when I can hear at least, some of the Brazilians
big guns around mid-Summer. Here's a sample from last night where I
could hear São Paulo's ZYK694, Radio Globo on 1100 KHz after phasing out
semi-local WTAM, Cleveland. Distance is 8200 Km / 5095 Miles:

With the exception of ZYJ458 1220 (R.Globo, Rio de Janeiro) and ZYK522
1000 (R.Record, São Paulo), I wonder if there are other fairly
"reachable" Brazilian dx targets from the North East?
