Earl, I feel that when we heard them they were at 15 kW. However, their 15w
nighttime signal is a bit weak to punch "Margaritaville" across the plains to
Topeka, and I speculate that whoever was at the controls dropped the power to
CH power instead of 15w, based on the background noise and signal from WCKY at
the time -Paul Swearingen, Topeka

Thanks Paul! I got them, mostly under WCKY nonetheless quite readable and
easily

paralleled with their web stream, also heard two IDs as song intros and mention
of website URL 1530kcmn.com. Wonder if they were running 15,000 W, 1000 W
critical hours, or ??. New, station #986, Colorado #8, 1530 #7.

Sincerely,

Earl Higgins

Gone by 10:48 CST and WCKY atop, as usual, although someone was playing
"Margaritaville" @ 10:52 … I have no idea who -Paul Swearingen, Topeka.
