Some new stations heard this morning at 1000 UTC, thanks to the
geomagnetic storm. Date and times UTC:
970 KHVN Fort Worth, TX. (1kw/270w) - 0959 UTC 6/29/2013 - Weak but
clear with gospel music show "Praise After Dark", call letter ID just
prior to TOH. (TROMP-MI)
1020 KOKP Perry, OK. (400w/250w!)- 1000 UTC 6/29/2013 - Faint but clear
ID for //1580 KOKB with slogan "Fox Sports Triple Play" and into FOX
News after TOH. (TROMP-MI)
1140 KPWB Piedmont, MO. (1kw) - 0959 UTC 6/29/2013 - C/W music and
slogan "104.9, Kickin' Country 105". (TROMP-MI)
1240 KIUL Garden City, KS. (1kw/1kw) - 1000 UTC 6/29/2013 - With dual ID
at TOH for KIUL Garden City and KYUL Scott City, weak but very clear
IDs. 851 mile graveyard haul! (TROMP-MI)
1380 KXCA Lawton, OK. (1kw/1kw) - 1000 UTC 6/29/2013 - With a very clear
TOH ID over the IBOC hash. (TROMP-MI)
1410 KGSO Wichita, KS. (5kw/1kw) - 1000 UTC 6/29/2013 - Very faint call
letter ID heard under dominant KGRN. (TROMP-MI)
1490 KDRO Sedalia, MO. (780w/780w) - 1000 UTC 6/29/2013 - With c/w music
and "Hometown Country" slogan. (TROMP-MI)
Weak DUs carriers also noted on 702, 1035 & 1503. Strong DU carrier
noted on 738 which started to produce faint but unintelligible audio by
1012 UTC.
