Hello All,

Some fairly energetic high and low band Asians once again showed up during a
sunrise enhancement session from 1515-1550, although there weren't very many of
them.

During peak conditions around 1530 the KBS2 parallels on 558 and 603 came up to
a decent strength, with 603-HLSA producing one of the better low band signals
at 1529 (the deep-voiced Korean male announcer, playing long-set pop music).
Besides the typically vibrant 594-JOAK there wasn't too much else happening on
the low band this morning except for some anemic signals from 639-CNR1 (weak
Chinese speech under KFI splatter at 1535) and 657-Pyongyang (dreary orchestral
music at 1538). Except for 594 the NHK big guns were down from their typical
strength.

The high band had the usual signals from 1377-CNR1 (just strong enough to
confirm the 6125 //), 1566-HLAZ, 1575-VOA and 1593-CNR1, but out of these only
1575-VOA had any real strength, managing a good level (in and out) at 1545 with
male-female Asiatic language speech. 1593-CNR1 wasn't nearly as strong as
yesterday, and the middle band had only a few weak signals from the 1053-Jammer
and 1134-KBS around 1540. Overall it was a fairly good morning for late
December, but lacking in much variety.
