What a difference a day makes. After hearing only one TP yesterday, today ranks as the best day of 2015 here in southern Alberta. Solid signals from the Japanese big guns for lengthy periods, and some surprising signals higher in the band. The biggest surprise was the Australian X-band station on 1629, which had my best Aussie X-band signal of the entire season. For some reason Brisvaani on 1701, normally my best X-bander, didn't do much today.

594 JOAK, Japan Already in audio at 1215, reached good
levels later, easily cutting through the IBOC
                        background.

693 JOAB, Japan Already in audio at 1215. Good level by 1258
in spite of louder than normal 690 splatter.

702 ABC Sydney, AUSTRALIA Barely a carrier at 1300, but pr-fr
                        with ABC news by 1302.

747 JOIB, Japan No audio at 1309, but soon came up with man in
                        Japanese at 1317.

774 JOUB, Japan First up to audio level around 1235, and good
                        by 1310.

828 JOBB, Japan Traces of audio first noted at 1236, up to fair
                        by 1310.

846 NHK1, Japan Big carrier, but only definite audio was the
                        NHK pips at 1300.

873 JOGB, Japan Poor, with man and woman conversing in English
                        lesson at 1304.

891 JOHK, Japan Weak, with talk by woman at 1332, //594.

972 HLCA, Korea Mostly just a strong carrier, but had a few
minutes of audio with music and talk by woman
                        around 1323.

1179 JOOR, Japan Conversation in Japanese by man and woman at
                        1253.

1269 unID Weak audio for a minute or so, with traces of
woman talking at 1324. About 30 Hz high.

1287 JOHR, Japan Woman speaking in Japanese at 1305.

1296 unID Traces of audio, with music at 1324

1314 JOUF, Japan Weak, but definitely Japanese, with woman
                        talking at 1302.

1449 unID Weak audio with man talking at 1329.

1548 4QD, Australia Aussie-accented talk by a man through the 1550
                        splatter.

1566 HLAZ, Korea Nothing at 1215, but noted with fair audio by
                        1300, and good by 1320.

1575 VOA, Thailand First reached audio around 1325, with the ID
                         only poor at 1330.

1593 unID Traces of audio around 1316.

1611 unID Pop music noted at 1329, with bits of talk in
the background, possibly from a second statoion.

1628.94 unID, Australia English talk between man and woman. Seemed
to be a Christian station judging by the
content of the discussion. Would have been
100% copy at times if not for the 1630
                        splatter.

Carriers everywhere, but the strongest were:
531,567,576,675,801,864,909,972,1242,1278,1332,1386,1404,1422,1584,1602
