Hello All,

Congratulations to Richard for his TP receptions on Ultralight radios in
Oklahoma this morning. Those DXers hoping for a repeat of Tuesday's great
propagation certainly got their wish this morning, with the low band Japanese
big guns once again on the warpath at my 1320 start time. Besides very NHK good
signals on 594, 693, 747, 774 and 828 the Korean big gun 972-HLCA was also
joining the enhanced propagation party at an S9 level in the predawn darkness.

The vibrant propagation at 1315 featured weak audio from a variety of
second-tier TP's on 603, 657, 738 and 1044, while the NHK big guns pounded in
and out right through the 1400 TOH. Unfortunately (like two days ago) the high
band Asians didn't seem to share in the propagation bonanza, with only
1566-HLAZ hitting fair peaks at times. With increasing daylight around 1350 the
low band Asian mainland stations on 603, 657 and 738 all got a decent boost,
and for a while it seemed like 738-BEL2 might repeat its stellar performance of
two days ago as it came up to fair peaks around 1358. Its hyper-speed Chinese
audio soon faded, however, leaving 603-HLSA and 657-Pyongyang to receive the
main benefits of the sunrise enhancement kick. 603-HLSA came up to an S9 level
around 1410 with a monologue by KBS2's deep-voiced male, followed by the
Carpenters' classic pop music, also with strong peaks in and out.
657-Pyongyang's dreary orchestra was also in and out at a fair level around
1402, possibly hosted by the Korean tirade lady. Overall the band was far above
average for March, with many potent signals from both Japan and Korea.

603  HLSA   Namyang, S. Korea   KBS2's deep voiced male at an S9 level around
1411, introducing the Carpenters'
                                                "Yesterday Once More" classic
pop music, which also built up to very potent strength
